With the pressures of everyday life, it's so much easier to speak negatively into the universe about not only ourselves, but also at the circumstances taking place around us. The problem is, with the casual passing of these negative thoughts, they quite quickly taint our image of how we view ourselves and our environment. For example: If you keep saying "I'm so stupid" over and over, after one mistake after another. The chances are, you will become more stupid, be viewed as stupid by those around you and you will continue to do more "stupid" things. Mud sticks and just like mud, a negative narrative spoken out into the universe can and will make a negative mark on your life.
You have to take charge of the messages you feed into your psyche daily. It is your life and because of this fact, you are have the sole responsibility of reprogramming and mastering the importance of positive self talk.
One of the best and most popular ways of doing this is to practise reciting positive affirmations to yourself. Affirmations are powerful statements that you repeat to yourself continually over a period of time to create a new internal thought system. The more you begin to reprogram yourself to eradicate the negative self talk, the more chance you will have of attracting more positive circumstances into your life. Positive self talk is powerful and life changing and if carried out consistently can and will change your self image for the better.
To help you on your way, we have come up with 7 affirmations that you must recite 10 times upon waking and 10 times before settling into bed. Of course, there is no need to impose a restriction on how much times you say them throughout the day. This is merely a guide to help get you on your way.
Repeat these over a 14 day period and begin to positively change the way you speak to yourself.
